Larry H's Top Ten Movies of the Decade
How is it possible to pick the Top Ten Movies of the 2000's when there are so many movies to choose from? It's quite simple: look back at the last ten years of Larry H's Annual Sugar Awards that are archived on his web page at larryhmoviereviews.com and you have the answer. Ok, then you have to do a little editing and maneuvering, but please do not let the number "10" cause you any angst. Just let it happen.
In choosing my Top Ten, I start and stop with the criteria of "what did I like?" Remember, this is MY Top Ten; I suspect that there is not another matching Top Ten anywhere on the planet. I also give some credence to the historical affect of the movie on the movie industry, how many times I've seen it, how well it is made (acting, direction and screenplay etc.) and whether I bought the CD (not the DVD, I don't buy DVD's.)
Probably the most telling factor of all is "how many times" I've seen the movie. If it is a great movie, I routinely go back for a second viewing while it is still in the theatres because I just can't wait to see it again or I want to take Monique H., but I NEED to see it a second time and soon. If a movie reaches that category, then it is sure to be considered as a top movie. And I love watching "old" movies on cable TV that I consider great movies and I watch them as though I am visiting a trusted and revered friend. In chronological order, here are Larry H's Top Ten Movies of the Decade:
Cast Away 2000
